Empowering Women to Build Tech-Sustainable Futures

Infitech Community is committed to empowering women to turn tech-sustainable ideas into reality. Through our flagship initiative, Her Innovation, we provide training in tech skills, leadership development, and entrepreneurial guidance, enabling women to create solutions that positively impact their communities.
Our mission is to increase the number of women tech founders and innovators in Mombasa, driving sustainable change. The Her Innovation program is how we turn this vision into reality, fostering a future where women lead through technology.

In the Coast region, women make up less than 5% of tech startup founders and fewer than 20% of the tech workforce in Kenya. Limited access to resources and societal barriers prevent many women from entering tech, launching startups, or driving innovations. Changing this mindset is key to fostering innovation and creating sustainable solutions.

We are tackling the underrepresentation of women in tech by creating a safe, supportive space—like a sandbox—where women in the Coast region can learn, experiment, and grow. Through our flagship program, Her Innovation, we offer hands-on workshops, mentorships, and guidance that equip women with the skills and confidence to lead in tech and innovation, driving solutions that address real community challenges.

By focusing on solutions aligned with SDGs 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), we are cultivating a new generation of women innovators. Her Innovation is paving the way for women-led startups to create sustainable, impactful change in their communities.
